20 in 20 — Laura Zickus

Happy New Year! This is usually the time of year people are making resolutions but it seems more and more people are making check lists of things they want to accomplish in the new year. In the needlepoint world, specifically in Instagram, there is a hashtag movement called #ndlpt20in20 where hopefully we stitchers can complete 20 canvases in 2020! Since I have a large stash, I have been going through it, trying to decide which ones I want to work on to complete this challenge. I really want to get some big pieces done this year but I have tons of small pieces to work on as well. I have uploaded a sampling of what I am going to be attemping to be stitching this year. It can be seen on my “Needlepoint to start page”. As I start them, I will move them over to the WIP page and fingers crossed, they will then be moved to the Finished page!

Since I have tendinitis in my stitching hand and can only stitch for an hour at a time, and we are in the process of trying to get this house cleaned out to put it on the market so we can MOVE, this will indeed be a challenge. But… I will give it my best and we’ll see how it all plays out!

In the meantime, these two don’t have a care in the world. I really need to put them to work doing something!
