Needlepoint Strawberries
Barbara’s Needlepoint in Sioux Falls, SD is one of my many favorite needlepoint shops. They have such wonderful customer service plus they have in-house painters so they produce canvases you can’t get anywhere else. One of my latest obsessions is stitching strawberries, so lucky for me (!) when Barbara started a Strawberry Club! It started in June and every month we get a canvas along with a stitch guide (yay!) and all the yummy threads you need. I actually started with July because I was drawn to the pretty pink and white stripes and that big gold bee in the middle.
Look at all these great threads. Oh and I can’t forget the beads! I think the stitch guide said to stitch the body of the bee in all Fyre Werks but I am doing a skip tent and then filling in with beads. I am then going to fill in the rest with beads.
My progress so far. I am loving stitching this guy, Fyre Werks Soft Sheen is a dream to stitch with, as is Silk Lame.
Sadly, in case you are wondering, the club is all filled up and you can’t join. But they do sell all kinds of different strawberries, follow them on their Facebook page which is a visual delight! Be careful though, you need to hold on to your wallet! :)
